Plane Wave Theory
Fixed Ratio ($E_0 = cB_0$)
The Electric field is much larger in standard units ($c \approx 3\times 10^8$). In this sim, we scale $E$ to be visibly larger to reflect this physical reality.
Mutual Perpendicularity
$\vec{B} = \frac{1}{c}(\hat{k} \times \vec{E})$. The three vectors form a rigid, right-handed orthogonal coordinate system.
Phase Lock ($\Delta \phi = 0$)
In vacuum, both fields peak simultaneously. There is no temporal or spatial lag between them.
Electric Field Magnitude ($E_0$)
Magnetic Field Magnitude ($B_0$)
Propagation ($\hat{k}$)
